Intramurals 2012

The Intramurals is a yearly school event which is held for three consecutive days. It is usually done for the students to showcase their talents and skills in sports and in various games. These include  basketball, volleyball, badminton, darts, dodgeball, bowling,  cheerdance competition, modern dance,   parlor games (Maria went to town, Kadang-kadang and sack race) and the like.

I'm no sporty person that's why Intramurals is never my thing. I am a "Bleacher-person". One of those who just sit there in the bleachers the whole day, cheer, sleep, eat, take pictures, eat, eat, and eat. But this year, I took the RISK of joining the cheerdance competition. I auditioned because my friend convinced me to. I kept on asking her "Why? Ngano? Sure ka? Back out ta? please? Huuuy" But she always answered me with her "YOLO" . And there, we auditioned. I passed the audition but unfortunately, she didn't. I felt bad at first because she was the one who was very eager to join that event. I felt guilty. But then, I realized that instead of feeling bad for her, I should make her proud instead.
Practices started, the routines were complicated and I always got home late, tired and with me was my "pamaol". I really felt that there was something pulling me, something telling me "Pag back out na oy, Di lagi na nimo keri. Ma bali lang imong mga tul'an ana." But still, I pursued in joining that activity.
Then, problems came. Time pressure, we only had one week to practice, our coach was super busy and had no time on teaching us routines and steps, no costume and props and we haven't even reached the half of the music yet.
So we planned and designed our costume without even consulting our coach. We looked for a seamstress and had our measurements taken. She said she could finish our coustumes the day before the intramurals, hopefully.
*Day before intramurals*
Our coach was really pressured since our competition will be on the day after and we haven't even finished our routines. He was rushing and gets easily irritated if we don't get the steps right. We only had a few waterbreaks and took our lunch past 1:00 already. Fortunately, we managed to finish and master our dance by 8 pm.

Third runner up- Seniors
Second runner up- Freshmen
First runner up- Sophomores
Champion- JUNIORS

Yes, we were awarded as the champion. And until now, I'm still in the state of shock. I wasn't really expecting that we'll win. The other year level's performances were just too great. But still we won, THANK YOU LORD!

Sunday Playlist

Wanderlust

"Pag ako ma datu, mu adto jud ko dira."

One of the most overused phrases I've been hearing of. And someday, when I become rich enough, I'm going to travel from place to place, city to city and country to country with the people I love.

  • Surprise my parents with a trip for 2 to a certain country.
  • Celebrate Christmas with my future family in Disneyland.
  • Shop with my friends at different countries.
  • Watch Rio de Janeiro's popular "Samba Parade"
  • With every country I visit, I'll eat  food which can only be found in that specific country or place.
ON MY LIST:

1.) City of New York

-One of the world's fashion capitals
-Times Square
-Statue of Liberty
-Empire State Building

2.)  Japan

-Tokyo Disneyland
-Tokyo Sea Life Park

3. Rio de Janeiro
 -"The Marvelous City"
-Christ the Redeemer statue
-Samba Parade

4. Seoul, Korea.

-Largest metropolis of the South Korea
-Forever-dazzled by Koreans' fashion sense.

5. Paris, France
-Largest City of France
-Eiffel Tower
-Louvre Aglow

PS: I own none of these photos
